Compensation: $115,000.00 - $135,000 per year + benefits

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing blood collection procedures for patients in a hospital setting. You will work closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, accurate, and timely specimen collection and processing.

As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for performing blood collection procedures for patients in a hospital setting. You will work closely with patients and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, accurate, and timely specimen collection and processing.
Job Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary draws for patients of all ages in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Ensure accurate specimen labeling, handling, and transport according to strict lab protocols
- Verify patient identity and maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience a plus)
- Provide compassionate care and effective communication with patients who may be anxious, elderly, or medically fragile
- Support emergency response situations (e.g., trauma or code blue) with swift and accurate blood collection
- Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance procedures in line with CLIA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Phlebotomy training program is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited organization (e.g., ASCP, NHA) preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Phlebotomist in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Training Program
- Current Oregon Phlebotomy Certification or eligibility to obtain
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 6 months of clinical phlebotomy experience (hospital or urgent care preferred)
- Exceptional bedside manner, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
