Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic, faith based healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various medical specialties, including integrative family medicine, urgent care, hormone therapy and procedures. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth patient intake, accurate documentation, and efficient clinical workflows. Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Aiding in answering phones, addressing inquiries and scheduling patients
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting with positioning as needed
• Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, specimen collection, medication administration under supervision, and basic wound care
• Support physicians during procedures such as minor surgical interventions within the clinic setting
• Document patient interactions accurately using medical terminology and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes
• Assist with oupatient care across diverse ages from infants to
• Maintain cleanliness of clinical areas, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) standards geriatrics
• Manage administrative duties such as appointment scheduling, patient intake forms, lab results and updating electronic health records

Experience

• Prior experience working in a clinic setting, specifically family medicine, primary care, urgent care clinics is highly preferred
• Passionate about functional and integrative medicine a must
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to various specialties like geriatrics or pediatrics
• Experience with EHR systems for documentation and billing processes is essential, experience with Cerbo is a bonus
• Familiarity with ICD coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation
• Additional certifications such as medication administration or phlebotomy are a plus
