Join Our Team as a Physical Therapist Assistant in CareWell Health Medical Services!

We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Physical Therapist Assistant for our thriving Orthopedic Outpatient Office. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of licensed therapists. Your role will involve supporting treatment plans, implementing therapeutic exercises, and documenting patient progress.

Salary:

  • $50,000-$70,000 per year with full benefits.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Patient Volume: 

  • 1-2 patients an hour

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by physical therapists, guiding patients through exercises and therapeutic activities to improve their mobility and function.
  • Observe and record patients’ responses to therapy, noting improvements or challenges, and report findings back to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Set up and maintain equipment and treatment areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Provide instructions to patients on exercises, techniques, and home care strategies to support their rehabilitation goals.
  • Handle scheduling, patient intake, and basic record-keeping to support clinic operations and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Assesses the patients' balance, coordination, proprioception abilities
  • Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive services to meet individual need
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of California.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
