Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant Needed for Rehab Center in Lincoln, Nebraska

Our rehabilitation clinic is seeking a skilled PTA to join our dynamic team. As a valued member, you will be providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the implementation of therapeutic treatment plans.

We offer a wide range of specialized services to address the unique needs of our patients, including Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs and clinic operations.

Salary:
$50,000 to $65,000 per year

Job Duties:

Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
Work closely with patients to guide them through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at promoting physical well-being and pain relief.
Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to facilitate their recovery process.
Administer modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the guidance and supervision of the Physical Therapist.
Assist in monitoring and documenting patient progress, including tracking range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional improvement.
Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for therapy sessions.
Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and motivating environment.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights and privacy.

Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions related to physical therapy.
Proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a genuine desire to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Ability to adapt to various patient populations and conditions, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual needs.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advances in physical therapy.
