Position Overview

Work Environment

Located within a state-of-the-art hospital facility in Orlando, our clinic fosters a collaborative and supportive work environment. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional flexibility may be required to best accommodate patient needs and clinic operations. The facility is equipped with the latest technology and resources to provide our team and patients with a productive and empowering atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans that prioritize patient mobility, strength, and functional improvements.
• Guide patients through essential therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities tailored to promote their physical well-being and facilitate pain relief.
• Educate patients in proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, introducing them to home exercise programs designed to optimize their recovery journey.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength levels, and overall functional abilities.
• Maintain treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are prepared and organized for daily therapy sessions.
• Collaborate efficiently with a multidisciplinary team including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a motivating and uplifting recovery environment.
• Adhere strictly to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting rights throughout their treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Grand Health Care Clinic, you will cater to a varied patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and age-related health conditions. Each patient's treatment is tailored to their specific needs, emphasizing a personalized approach that empowers them to regain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy.
• Proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Grand Health Care Clinic offers a competitive salary range of approximately $50,000 to $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
