The Physical Therapy Assistant will work onsite in a hospital setting, allowing direct and consistent interaction with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Assist in conducting evaluations of patients' daily living skills and functional capacities to accurately assess strengths and limitations necessary for tailored treatment plans.
Implement physical therapy routines by guiding patients through various treatment modalities, including structured exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and daily living activities.
Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting changes and reporting observations effectively to the supervising physical therapist for real-time adjustments to therapy.
Collaborate with other healthcare team members, discussing patient status and contributing to treatment planning, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care.
This role involves working closely with a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, individuals undergoing orthopedic surgeries, and others seeking rehabilitation for chronic conditions. Your efforts will directly impact their recovery journey, enhancing their ability to return to desired activities and improving their quality of life.
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Texas is required.
A minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is mandatory, along with successful completion of the NPTE.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.

While a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is required, individuals with significant hands-on therapy experience will be prioritized. Preference will be given to those who have worked in sports rehabilitation or comparable settings.
