Emerald Valley PT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. Work Environment

You will work onsite in a dynamic hospital setting that provides an ideal backdrop for collaborative healthcare delivery. Our team is composed of skilled professionals who thrive in a culturally diverse and inclusive atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and synergy. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, promoting a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic PTA, you will assist Physical Therapists in implementing comprehensive therapy plans tailored to meet each patient's specific needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Administering therapeutic treatments such as exercises, functional mobility training, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
• Monitoring and documenting the progress of each patient, providing updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assisting patients with mobility challenges by educating them on techniques to improve balance and coordination.
• Conducting therapeutic activities to promote recovery, encouraging patients as they work toward their rehabilitation goals.
• Maintaining clean, safe, and organized treatment areas, adhering to all safety protocols and standards of care.
• Documenting patient progress and updates accurately in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries such as total knee replacements, shoulder repairs, and repairing fractures. You will cater to a wide age range, from young adults to seniors, emphasizing not just rehabilitation, but also wellness and preventative care strategies tailored specifically to their needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Florida.
• Strong foundational knowledge of therapeutic techniques and treatment protocols specifically for orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to assist in maintaining organized patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct patient care experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Experience with patient education and engagement techniques.
• Ability to evaluate and address patient needs independently while focusing on team-based care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
