Key Responsibilities

• Implement and carry out individualized treatment plans as directed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring adherence to therapeutic protocols.
• Assist patients during therapeutic sessions, guiding them through a range of exercises and modalities to enhance their physical capabilities.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment, collaborating with your supervising Physical Therapist to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy space to promote a safe and professional atmosphere for patients and team members alike.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing education on exercises, home care techniques, and answering questions to support their rehabilitation journey.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and progress updates.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient clientele, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and patients seeking improvement in their overall physical function. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse population, helping each person achieve their personal rehabilitation goals, whether they are recovering from sports injuries, orthopedic procedures, or debilitating health issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field is required.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant License.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking patient progress.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in an outpatient environment.
• Experience using physical therapy modalities and exercise equipment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits
