Work Environment

The work setting is an onsite facility with a focus on rehabilitation within a hospital context. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans and programs for patients recovering from various conditions such as post-surgery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
• Performing hands-on therapy techniques with patients, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy methods, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment processes, exercises, and strategies for ongoing self-management of their conditions.
• Monitoring patient progress meticulously during treatment sessions, documenting outcomes, and communicating findings to the supervising physical therapists.
• Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to continuously enhance patient care and treatment effectiveness, ensuring that all interventions align with best practices and quality standards.
• Utilizing specialized techniques, such as trigger point therapy and therapeutic taping, as appropriate to promote healing and optimize patient functionality.
• Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and occupational health initiatives to improve patient outcomes.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, including children, adults, and seniors. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Physical Therapist Assistant position must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (or a related field) is required.

• At least two years of hands-on experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.
