Rehabilitation Physical Therapist Assistant - Full-Time Onsite Role

Work Environment

The position is based in a collaborative and supportive hospital environment where a multidisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, works together to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources to facilitate comprehensive rehabilitation care. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and executing customized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.
• Guide patients through a series of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities focused on physical restoration and pain relief, ensuring adherence to prescribed protocols.
• Administer various treatment modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under strict supervision.
• Educate patients and their families on optimal body mechanics, exercise techniques, and effective home exercise programs to facilitate continued recovery.
• Accurately document patient progress, monitoring key metrics such as range of motion and strength improvement, to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are organized, accessible, and properly sanitized for each therapy session.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care efforts while maintaining open lines of communication regarding patient status and progress.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, creating an encouraging and motivating atmosphere throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined in relevant healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program.
• A current, valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Proficiency in employing therapeutic exercises and modalities with direct guidance from a licensed Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits
