Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is seeking a full-time Physical and Occupational Therapy Technician in our Adult Therapy Department. Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is the only non-profit outpatient therapy clinic in Indian River County, FL. We offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies for both adults and children in an interdisciplinary setting prioritizing the needs of the individual over the bottom line. Established in 1953, Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic has maintained a reputation of excellence for over 70 years, meeting the needs of individuals seeking therapy services regardless of their ability to pay.
Job Responsibilities:- Support licensed Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists and licensed Therapy Assistants with their daily roles;
- Prepare therapy spaces in advance of each therapy visit;
- Escort patients to and from visits; prepare them for their sessions as directed by the scheduled therapist or therapy assistant;
- Maintain a clean clinic;
- Monitor and maintain supply inventory;
- Ensure the smooth operation of the department;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Team-centric working style; positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Comfort working with adults of all ages and diagnoses, including those with special needs;
- Ability to assist with lifting and transferring adult patients; lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Preference will be given to those who have a strong desire to work in the exercise physiology or physical/occupational/speech therapy field.
