Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our facility, you will work onsite within a well-equipped hospital setting. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of individualized treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapies, as well as mobility training that aligns with specific patient rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize advanced modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to aid in patient recovery, applying evidence-based techniques to maximize efficacy.
• Regularly monitor, document, and assess patient progress and response to treatments, maintaining accurate clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on effective injury prevention strategies as well as personalized home exercise regimens to promote ongoing health and recovery.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, facilitating open communication to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Ensure precise and timely clinical documentation and billing, upholding the facility’s standards and protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. This role requires a compassionate approach, understanding each patient’s unique circumstances and adjusting care techniques to meet diverse recovery needs. Engaging with patients and developing strong therapeutic relationships is essential to success in this position.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Texas.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited educational program.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practice standards in therapy.

Preferred Experience

• 1-2 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred, although new graduates with relevant clinical training may also be considered.
