Work Environment

This full-time role involves a structured schedule, allowing you to work from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day functions will encompass a variety of important tasks, including:

• Assisting Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Delivering hands-on therapeutic interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Monitoring patient progress, meticulously documenting changes, and reporting them to the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure optimal treatment adjustments.
• Instructing patients on proper exercise techniques while providing encouragement and support during their therapy sessions.
• Collaborating effectively with the healthcare team, which may include physicians, nurses, and case managers, to promote a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with relevant regulations and ensuring confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic injuries, such as post-operative recovery, sports injuries, fractures, and chronic musculoskeletal issues. You will work with a diverse population, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals undergoing rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions. Your empathetic approach and effective communication will play a vital role in fostering a positive therapeutic experience for each patient.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is essential.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) state license.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and professional patient care.
