Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Provide direct patient care through hands-on therapy sessions, utilizing manual therapy techniques, aquatics therapy, and modalities as appropriate.
• Monitor patient responses and document progress efficiently and accurately within electronic medical records systems.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and self-management strategies to promote recovery and prevent injury.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational health specialists, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapist Assistant will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Our approach focuses on enhancing patients' mobility and functionality, adapting techniques to meet the varying needs of both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring compassionate and empathetic care consistently.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assisting is required.
• Active and current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) state license in New York.
• Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and related medical terminology.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Proficiency in implementing diverse manual therapy techniques and familiarity with innovative rehabilitation methodologies.
• Experience working in a hospital environment is preferred but not mandatory; commitment to quality patient care is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive salary, our benefits package includes:
