Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you'll play a vital role in our rehab-recovery suites, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions

• Conduct initial and progress assessments, documenting findings and recommendations

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist

• Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on exercise techniques, home programs, and wellness strategies

• Collaborate with other rehabilitation professionals, including occupational and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care

• Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and statistics

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program

• Minimum of 0 years of experience (PTAs with all levels of experience encouraged to apply)

• Current PTA certification in the state of Ohio

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients, as well as perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
