Access Health Care Solutions is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our patient care team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver tailored rehabilitation therapies, helping patients recover mobility, strength, and overall functionality after illness or injury.

Work Environment

Your role as a PTA will be onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility located in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Our work environment is collaborative and dynamic, allowing for close interaction with a multidisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Your full-time schedule will typically run Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and rehabilitation activities aimed at alleviating pain and improving their physical health.
• Educate patients on the importance of proper body mechanics, effective exercise techniques, and establish home exercise programs to support their recovery journey.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as per the Physical Therapist's guidelines.
• Monitor progress meticulously by documenting patient outcomes, tracking gains in range of motion and strength, and providing feedback to therapists regarding changes in the patient’s condition.
• Maintain treatment areas in a clean and organized manner, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, actively participating in patient care discussions to optimize treatment outcomes and share insights on patient progress.
• Foster a supportive and motivational environment for patients, providing emotional support and encouragement throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards while ensuring patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a valid PTA license or certification in the state of Nevada.
• Sound understanding of anatomy, physiology, and established therapeutic interventions relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Proven ability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities as instructed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport building with patients and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• A patient-centered approach, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity to patients' unique recovery journeys.
• Flexibility to adapt treatment approaches to suit diverse patient populations and various medical conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical rehabilitation setting is preferred, allowing for a smoother transition into our team and workflows.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems and experience in documenting patient progress electronically.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for the Physical Therapist Assistant role ranges from USD 60,000 to USD 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
