Work Environment

Working onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, you will be part of an enthusiastic team consisting of two seasoned physical therapists and a dedicated physical therapist assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical conditions to create tailored treatment plans that align with their goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour, allowing for personalized and focused care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality care, emphasizing recovery and enhanced quality of life.
• Employ a variety of treatment techniques, including but not limited to manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, to improve patient outcomes effectively.
• Document patient care services meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and comprehensive communication with healthcare colleagues.
• Regularly assess patient progress against therapy goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize recovery.
• Educate patients on restorative exercises and lifestyle modifications to prolong the benefits of therapy.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from young athletes aiming to get back on the field to mature adults looking to regain their mobility after joint replacements or other orthopedic procedures. Your expertise will significantly impact their physical recovery and overall wellness.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia is mandatory.
• An impeccable professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy and exercise protocol development.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to implement individualized treatment plans that effectively assist patients in managing pain and enhancing mobility.
• A history of using alternative approaches to medication and surgery, promoting holistic health solutions.

Compensation and Benefits
