Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our Home Care setting, you will work directly within patients' homes, allowing for personalized interventions in familiar surroundings. This onsite work setting promotes a closer relationship between the therapist and the patient, enhancing trust and comfort during rehabilitation. You will manage your schedule with flexibility, allowing for work-life balance while fulfilling the critical role of promotion and delivery of physical therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to establish effective treatment objectives.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using a mix of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and assistive device training.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed to meet evolving patient goals and ensure optimal recovery.
• Provide education and support to patients, caregivers, and family members regarding treatment procedures and best practices for rehabilitation outside of therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation to comply with organizational standards and ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing and occupational therapy professionals, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, the Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population comprised of children, adults, and the elderly who are recovering from various conditions, including post-surgery recovery, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and neurological disorders. Our home care model empowers patients to engage in their recovery in the safety and comfort of their homes, fostering a supportive environment for rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency in documentation systems and word processing.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in a home care setting.
• Experience with a variety of therapeutic techniques and familiarity with assistive devices.
• Previous involvement in mentoring new graduates is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
