Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our outpatient office in Boca Grande, Florida, a vibrant community known for its picturesque beaches and welcoming atmosphere. Our workweek runs from Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly, providing a stable schedule that promotes a balanced lifestyle while allowing our therapists to focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise, you will play a crucial role in the recovery of your patients. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition and defining their rehabilitation needs.
• Developing personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's specific goals and medical history.
• Implementing a variety of therapeutic exercises and techniques to alleviate pain, restore function, and enhance mobility.
• Providing education to patients and their families about treatment methods, expected outcomes, and ongoing self-care to promote independence.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and maximized outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and results.
• Exceeding patient experience expectations through exceptional customer service and relationship building.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists cater to a diverse patient population, treating individuals from various backgrounds with a wide range of needs. You will have the opportunity to work with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, allowing you to develop your expertise across different specialties and provide customized care that addresses individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program, ensuring a strong foundation in physiotherapeutic methods.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) as issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee, necessary for practice.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of physical therapy principles and practices.
• Current CPR certification, showcasing your commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer skills and word processing, essential for documentation and communication within the practice.
• A demonstrated capacity for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with patients, ensuring their engagement and motivation throughout treatment.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with experience in a variety of settings will be highly regarded. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a desire to integrate new techniques into patient care will distinguish you as a candidate eager to advance your skills and contribute to the clinic's mission.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive yearly salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, reflective of your skills and experience. In addition to generous compensation, Valleywise provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
