Little Hands Pediatric PT Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Pediatric Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Alexandria, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, emphasizing evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound, tailored to each child’s specific needs.
• Coordinate with caregivers, providing education and support to enhance patient compliance and understanding of treatment goals.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously and adjust treatment protocols as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Utilize effective communication skills to document patient interactions and outcomes, while also adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals while contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the service delivery in the home care setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on pediatric patients facing various orthopedic challenges, including post-operative recovery, sports-related injuries, and developmental disabilities. By employing a holistic approach to therapy, you will foster functional independence and improved quality of life for children, their families, and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Possess an active state license in Physical Therapy to practice in the state of Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, complemented by proficient word processing and computer skills.
• A passion for developing meaningful relationships with patients and their families to exceed their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in pediatric physical therapy or a related field is advantageous. Experience working in home care or community-based settings is a plus, given the unique demands of working with families in their own environments.

Compensation and Benefits
