Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical assessments to evaluate patients' conditions and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing physical function based on solid clinical reasoning.
• Provide direct patient care through various manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and use of modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Participate in clinical education by instructing physical therapy interns and residents on best practices and current treatment methodologies.
• Lead and present at least one in-service training annually to share knowledge and enhance clinical skills of staff.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient management.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives in your area of expertise, supported by management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will engage with a diverse range of clients— from active individuals seeking rehabilitation after athletic injuries to seniors requiring assistance with mobility and strength after joint replacements. Your role will be critical in guiding these patients through their recovery journeys, focusing on personalized care and optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a physical therapist.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic physical therapy principles and practices.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Proficiency with advanced rehabilitation technologies and software.

Compensation and Benefits
