Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine their specific therapy needs and devise customized treatment plans.
• Implement innovative therapeutic techniques and skills to help patients enhance their functional abilities while adhering to the physician's care objectives.
• Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers, empowering them to take an active role in the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse patient population, consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and other physical health challenges. Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, focusing on home care or a related environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer applications, enabling effective documentation and communication.
• Ability to build strong relationships with patients, fostering trust and collaboration to support their recovery goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly in home care or out-patient settings.
