Work Environment

Located in vibrant Bloomfield, New Jersey, our rehabilitation facility offers a dynamic and welcoming atmosphere tailored to both patients and staff. Our state-of-the-art equipment and spacious treatment areas promote effective therapy sessions. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing consistency and structure that benefits both our team and our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical capabilities and limitations to establish specific therapy goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating advanced therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility and physical function.
• Administer therapies such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation to reduce pain and improve functionality.
• Manage a patient load of one-on-one therapy sessions, ensuring personalized attention to each individual's recovery journey.
• Foster a motivating environment that encourages patients to embrace recommended exercises and interventions.
• Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor and document the patient's progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, home exercise programs, and lifestyle changes to promote long-term health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain issues. You will work with diverse patient demographics, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals with degenerative conditions. Your role will be instrumental in developing comprehensive recovery strategies that cater to the unique needs of each patient across this wide spectrum.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and active state license as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on your license status.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise program design.
• Familiarity with an electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically WebPT or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a focus on developing individualized care plans.
• Experience working with EMR software to streamline documentation and patient management.
• Hands-on experience with different physical therapy modalities depending on patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
