Work Environment

This is an onsite position within our outpatient office located in West McLean, VA, a vibrant community known for its accessibility and engaging atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and designed to ensure a welcoming space for both patients and staff. The work schedule includes Monday to Friday with rotating hospital shifts on weekends, ensuring that you maintain a balanced work life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess impairments, functional limitations, and health status related to injury or disease.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician directives and patient needs.
• Record meticulous patient notes and maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and discharge summaries.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff to ensure optimal patient care and achievement of rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care programs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of therapy interventions and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet patient goals.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and innovative therapeutic approaches.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and assist in creating a positive atmosphere for professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from sports injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. By utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities, you will play a crucial role in helping each patient regain their independence and improve their physical functionality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for patient education and collaboration with the medical team.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic medical record systems.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
