Work Environment

This position is onsite at our facility located in beautiful Aurora, Colorado, which boasts a vibrant community with diverse activities and natural beauty. The work setting is primarily home care, allowing Physical Therapists to provide direct patient care in their residences or chosen locations, ensuring comfort and convenience. The position offers a Monday to Friday work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, with the option of four 10-hour shifts to promote work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical health, limitations, and individual therapeutic needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on best practices and the unique condition of each patient, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and goal-oriented interventions.
• Utilize modern therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy, to effectively manage pain and improve patient mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment methodologies, self-care strategies, and exercises to promote rehabilitation and independence.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes and meet individual goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, ensuring that all patient interactions are rooted in best practices and contemporary physical therapy methodologies.
• Stay current with advances in physical therapy technology and practices and actively participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele for this position consists of patients requiring orthopedic interventions, predominantly including adults and geriatric individuals. Many patients may present with post-operative rehabilitation needs or chronic conditions that require tailored therapeutic solutions. As such, familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation practices and geriatric care will enhance your effectiveness and adaptability in treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Colorado license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong understanding of human physiology, medical terminology, and a variety of physical therapy modalities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interaction with the healthcare team.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to delivering compassionate and professional patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred, although new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working specifically with geriatric populations or in-home therapy environments is a plus.
• Working knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation practices is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
