Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting thorough examinations and assessments of patients, identifying functional limitations and disabilities, and creating customized treatment plans.
• Offering expert consultation to other healthcare professionals regarding the continuum of care for patients, ensuring coordinated and effective treatment.
• Providing compassionate and respectful interaction with patients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds, in alignment with our standard of exceptional customer service.
• Implementing treatment plans, including physical modalities and therapeutic exercises, while continuously re-evaluating progress and adapting interventions as necessary.
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions and treatment processes, equipping them with knowledge to facilitate their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintaining detailed communication through verbal, written, and electronic means, collaborating actively with the interdisciplinary treatment team, referrers, and physicians for optimal patient outcomes.
• Engaging in community outreach initiatives, contributing to continuous quality improvement processes, and participating in marketing and program development efforts.
• Attending staff meetings, participating in self-directed learning, and pursuing ongoing professional development opportunities through in-services and workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals with orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain syndromes, and sports-related injuries. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse range of patients, adapting your care approach to meet varying levels of need and different recovery stages.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Connecticut.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to foster effective dialogue with patients and team members.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and basic computer applications, emphasizing an ability to maintain accurate patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
