Work Environment

As an onsite physical therapist at our Fort Lauderdale location, you will work primarily at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center known for its welcoming atmosphere and advanced technology. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing specialized evaluations to identify functional limitations and craft comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement effective treatment protocols based on clinical findings, ensuring adjustments are made in accordance to the patient’s progress and evolving healthcare practices.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, including evaluations, treatment progress, discharge plans, and follow-up care, to maintain transparency and compliance within the healthcare framework.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and specialists, to contribute insights on patient condition changes and suggest modifications to treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in facility meetings and contribute to departmental goals by engaging in efforts to enhance patient access and the overall rehabilitation experience.
• Stay informed on state regulations and best practices within the profession to ensure compliance and uphold the highest standards of care.
• Supervise and mentor support staff in treatment methodologies, ensuring an effective approach to patient care while adhering to the practice acts governing physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals with orthopedic injuries, chronic pain conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Each patient’s treatment plan will be individualized, requiring strong assessment skills and adaptability to meet varying needs and recovery goals. Your role is critical in not only addressing physical challenges but also empowering patients through education and proactive participation in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure readiness in emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with hands-on experience in specialized modalities, such as manual therapy techniques or aquatic therapy, will be viewed favorably. Furthermore, a background in developing and implementing innovative patient engagement programs can enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits
