Key Responsibilities

• Direct patient care by designing and implementing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disability, alleviate pain, recover muscle functionality, and maintain maximum performance levels.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective delivery of care aligned with established treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ functional abilities using diagnostic assessments focused on muscle, nerve, joint conditions, and functional capabilities.
• Analyze home environments to recommend necessary modifications that facilitate patient independence during rehabilitation.
• Provide hands-on therapy through a variety of techniques, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and pain management treatments using physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending changes to prescribing physicians as needed.
• Maintain detailed clinical records—initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries—ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care, progress, and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, educating them on physical therapy techniques, home exercises, and the use of therapeutic devices.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants during therapy sessions and enhance their clinical skills through hands-on training.
• Adhere to state laws regarding supervision requirements and documentation timelines, ensuring patient information is updated and accurate.
• Support clinical objectives by completing additional assigned tasks contributing to team success and patient well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus for this position will be orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient demographic includes children, adults, and seniors, each needing tailored rehabilitation approaches to regain function and improve mobility in their specific contexts.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent clinical judgment with a clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions by the licensing board.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment and manual therapy techniques, enhancing rehabilitation outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in home health models of care and familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient treatment strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
