Position Overview

Top Point Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Orlando, Florida. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of relevant experience and a strong commitment to enhancing patient care through innovative physical therapy techniques.

Work Environment

This role is based at our outpatient office located in the vibrant city of Orlando, Florida. Our facility is designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where patients feel comfortable and motivated to engage in their rehabilitation process. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of therapists, assistants, and administrative staff, all focused on providing the best possible service for our patients. In addition to our experienced personnel, our clinic features advanced therapeutic equipment, private treatment rooms, and spacious exercise areas for both therapeutic and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Top Point, your key responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment programs to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance muscle function, ensuring each plan aligns with the patient's specific needs and medical history.
• Evaluating patients' physical abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests, applying your clinical skills to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Administering evidence-based physical therapy services prescribed by physicians, which may include manual therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and modalities such as traction and massage.
• Monitoring the performance of Physical Therapy Assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal implementation of care plans and adherence to therapy protocols.
• Engaging in client education by training patients and their families on exercise programs, usage of therapeutic equipment, and self-management strategies.
• Participating in the interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to case discussions, treatment planning, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Documenting patient progress through clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will be critical in treating a diverse network of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and those with chronic pain conditions. By employing tailored rehabilitation strategies, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients regain movement capabilities and improve their quality of life. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in building strong relationships with patients, enabling them to engage fully in their recovery process.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations when they arise.
• A valid driver's license and insurance, allowing for flexibility in transportation between patient care locations if necessary.
• A strong dedication to clinical excellence, patient safety, and ethical practice standards.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies, and proven success in case management are preferred. Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team will also be advantageous.
