Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist

Position Overview

Serenity Motion Therapy is actively searching for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in North Port, Florida. This is a full-time position that will allow you to make a meaningful impact on patients’ recovery and mobility. Your role will focus on providing effective orthopedic care for our patients, enhancing their quality of life by helping them regain their physical abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and personal evaluations to identify individual rehabilitation goals and treatment needs.
• Develop comprehensive, tailored treatment plans that may include manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at improving strength and range of motion.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, allocating approximately one hour per patient to ensure thorough and attentive care.
• Regularly monitor patient progress and adjust treatment methodologies based on individual responses and outcomes.
• Utilize practice management software, specifically WebPT, to document patient care, track clinical outcomes, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Foster a strong rapport with patients to motivate and encourage them throughout the treatment process, addressing any concerns they may have about their recovery journey.
• Coordinate and consult with other healthcare professionals, ensuring integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.
• Keep abreast of industry best practices, emerging treatment options, and innovative techniques through continuous education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals who are recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will help in guiding patients through their rehabilitation by employing evidence-based methods that reduce pain and improve functional mobility. By prioritizing patient-centered care, you will help foster an environment of recovery that empowers patients to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master’s or Doctorate degree (DPT) is preferred.
• Current and valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• No history of disciplinary actions against your professional license, demonstrating a commitment to ethical practice.
• Solid foundation and proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Exceptional skills in designing and implementing effective exercise and rehabilitation protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, notably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in implementing treatment strategies that lead to improved patient outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with patients and team members alike.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive compensation ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
