Work Environment

The rehabilitation facility offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic health conditions in a compassionate home care environment.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic methods, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional mobility training.
• Continuously monitor and document patients’ progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to address shifting goals and recovery trajectories.
• Educate and train patients, caregivers, and families on rehabilitation techniques and the use of assistive equipment, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the healing process.
• Maintain your professional development through workshops, seminars, and networking within the physical therapy community, ensuring your knowledge of best practices in treatment methodologies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and enhance treatment efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass a diverse patient population, including children needing developmental support and adults recovering from surgical procedures or managing chronic conditions such as arthritis or post-stroke challenges. You will be instrumental in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through targeted rehabilitative care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, demonstrating effective treatment delivery.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficient computer and documentation skills to maintain accurate patient records and track progress.
• Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the dynamic needs of patients and the healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with various therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technologies.
• Prior experience in a home care or outpatient rehabilitation setting is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced treatment techniques, such as aquatic therapy or manual therapy, is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote wellness and job satisfaction.
