Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions to formulate effective treatment plans that encompass a wide range of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Implement interventions including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining up-to-date records of treatments administered, outcomes achieved, and any adjustments in therapy approaches.
• Adapt treatment protocols as needed based on ongoing assessments to meet the goals established in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Educate patients and their families on best practices for rehabilitation, including the safe use of assistive devices and engagement in home exercises.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate holistic care approaches for patients, ensuring continuity and comprehensive rehabilitation services.
• Engage in continual professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role will include children and adults recovering from various conditions including post-surgical recovery, muscular and skeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain management. You will work closely with patients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to address their unique challenges and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred).
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and other digital documentation tools.
• A commitment to professional development and maintaining updated knowledge of industry standards and practices.
• Demonstrated agility and flexibility in adapting to patient needs and evolving treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation setting.
