Achilles Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Carteret, New Jersey. Work Environment

This role will take place at our outpatient office, providing a hands-on treatment setting that facilitates direct interaction with patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, developing detailed and individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions across different specialties, primarily focusing on orthopedics, while also addressing pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine needs.
• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to maximize patient outcomes, regularly collaborating with healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide therapeutic care in both our facility and potentially in patients’ homes, applying techniques designed to enhance functional abilities in alignment with the physician’s plan of care.
• Deliver educational resources and training for patients and their caregivers, ensuring they understand their rehabilitation process and how to maintain their progress.
• Maintain accurate patient records, tracking progress and meeting utilization goals, while adhering to organizational protocols and standards.
• Champion exceptional customer service and contribute positively to our team culture and community initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, providing them with personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to their unique needs and recovery objectives. Our client base may include children and adults facing various physical challenges, allowing you to utilize a broad range of skills and therapeutic techniques, ensuring a fulfilling experience for both the therapist and the patients.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is essential.
• Preferred minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey treatment plans to patients and their families.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer skills to manage patient documentation efficiently.
• A strong commitment to building lasting relationships with patients to enhance their recovery experiences.
• Ability to engage meaningfully with diverse patient populations, contributing to a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to support clinical documentation and patient tracking.
• Previous experience in community outreach or educational initiatives, enhancing patient awareness around physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

You will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
