Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each client's assessment, physical capabilities, and rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic tests to determine muscle function, nerve response, and joint mobility.
• Lead and supervise physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective and safe implementation of the treatment plan.
• Assess the home and living environments to identify barriers to recovery and recommend necessary modifications or equipment to foster independence.
• Administer manual and therapeutic exercises, guiding clients in both non-manual exercises and functional activities that promote recovery.
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration by participating in case conferences, contributing insights, and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring accurate documentation is submitted on time.
• Monitor patient progress closely, observing and reporting any changes in condition, and adjusting therapy plans as needed based on feedback and clinical observations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• One (1) year of experience as a licensed physical therapist in a clinical or home care setting.
• Must hold a current state license in Virginia and be in good standing with the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A creative thinker who demonstrates leadership and decision-making capabilities while being accountable for patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with orthopedic patients in both acute and outpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with documentation standards such as OASIS and adapting to various patient care plans.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
