Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy interventions aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and rehabilitating clients following injury or surgery.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ functional capabilities through diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the healthcare team, emphasizing continuous monitoring and reassessment.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants during their service delivery to ensure compliance with the prescribed plan of care.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments including manual therapy, traction, and the application of physical agents, ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Evaluate home environments and provide recommendations to facilitate rehabilitation and enhance client independence.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries adhering to organizational policies.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to exchange insights, refine treatment plans, and ensure comprehensive care for our clients.
• Educate clients and their families regarding their treatment plans and the use of therapeutic devices enabling them to take an active role in their rehabilitation journey.
• Stay current with best practices in physical therapy through continuing education and professional development, enhancing the therapeutic options available to clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, those with chronic pain conditions, and clients requiring rehabilitation for various physical limitations. Your compassionate approach and clinical expertise will be key in enabling clients to regain their functional independence and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida with a clean disciplinary record.
• Exceptional knowledge of manual therapy modalities and exercise prescription strategies.
• Adept at utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for comprehensive documentation.
• Strong foundation in research-supported physical therapy techniques, ensuring evidence-based practice in client care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is highly desirable.
• Proven record of developing successful individualized treatment programs.
• Previous experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
