Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations, allowing for tailored treatment planning.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques designed to enhance mobility and overall function.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens to promote healing, alleviate pain, and restore strength.
• Educate patients on posture, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies promoting long-term health and wellness.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey to achieve individual goals and maximize their functional capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to review patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, including but not limited to joint replacements, sports injuries, and conditions related to musculoskeletal disorders. Our facility is dedicated to providing specialized care tailored to the unique requirements of each patient, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation that considers their individual lifestyles and goals.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current certification and licensing as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• A clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions or board sanctions.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in orthopedics.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop and conduct effective exercise regimens.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
