Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in North Brunswick, allowing for direct interaction with patients and immediate access to necessary resources. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance and allowing our therapists to devote their best selves to both work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ functional abilities, including assessing movement patterns and identifying areas of impairment.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice to enhance mobility, alleviate pain, and improve patient outcomes.
• Apply manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises, home exercise regimens, and preventative strategies to optimize recovery and maintain health.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and progress in accordance with established regulatory and compliance standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients suffering from various conditions including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and musculoskeletal issues. Our philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach, focusing on the whole individual and tailoring rehabilitation strategies to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications

• Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active New Jersey Physical Therapy License that is in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and excellent rapport with patients.
• BLS/CPR certification for healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or orthopedic setting, demonstrating proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic modalities.
• A proven track record of developing effective treatment plans and positively impacting patient outcomes through rehabilitation.
