Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Sutter, California, designed to facilitate a conducive healing atmosphere. The center is equipped with advanced therapeutic modalities and equipment, providing physical therapists with the tools necessary to deliver effective treatment. You will work alongside a supportive team of licensed therapists and healthcare professionals, encouraging a culture of learning and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer individualized therapy sessions as outlined in patient care plans, utilizing modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Guide and assist patients in performing exercises, ensuring correct form and technique to encourage optimal recovery and minimize the risk of further injury.
• Regularly observe patients' progress before, during, and after therapy sessions, diligently documenting changes and communicating findings to supervising physical therapists.
• Employ assistive devices, such as walkers and braces, to aid patients in regaining mobility and functionality during rehabilitation.
• Provide education to patients and their families, equipping them with knowledge of follow-up exercises and self-care techniques essential for continued recovery at home.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical protocols, ensuring that all staff adhere to the highest standards of care.
• Tutor and mentor junior staff in technical skills and patient handling procedures to foster a learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. This patient population includes individuals with sports injuries, joint replacements, fractures, and post-operative rehabilitation needs. You will play a crucial role in assisting them to regain strength, mobility, and functionality in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients and their families effectively.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
• Advanced training in specific orthopedic techniques such as manual therapy or dry needling is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
