Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Joint Ventures Physical Therapy, you will be entrusted with multiple critical responsibilities that directly affect patient recovery and satisfaction:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients referred by physicians, establishing baseline function and goals for treatment.
• Develop, implement, and adjust tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices for a variety of conditions.
• Deliver hands-on rehabilitation therapy that may include exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques to optimize functional recovery.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and engaged in the healing process.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes, integrating feedback and shared expertise.
• Educate and train patients and their families about exercise, self-care strategies, and ways to monitor their own progress.
• Meet and exceed performance metrics, including minimum utilization goals, to ensure the clinic’s operational success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. You will address a variety of conditions ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management, all while fostering an environment of encouragement and support for every patient.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Basic computer and word processing skills to maintain accurate patient records and manage scheduling.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients and their caregivers, guiding them effectively through their recovery process.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:

• Experience in outpatient settings, particularly in orthopedic and sports medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse patient population and adapt treatment approaches accordingly.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to enhance patient documentation efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits
