Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at our hospital-based outpatient clinic, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development. The clinic operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a work-life balance that allows you to devote time to each patient, ensuring thorough assessments and personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to establish individualized treatment goals and treatment plans based on patients’ specific needs.
• Provide hands-on therapy using manual techniques to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall function.
• Utilize guided exercise instruction to support patients’ recovery objectives, helping them regain strength and confidence.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families to educate them about their conditions and treatment plans, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.
• Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably WebPT, to track patient progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure a cohesive approach to patient health and recovery.

Our clinic primarily serves an orthopedic patient population, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Michigan.
• A bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; additional education in specialized therapy areas is a plus.
• Proficient knowledge and experience in manual therapy techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and fellow healthcare providers.
• Exceptional clinical documentation skills, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
• Understanding of the outpatient therapy workflow, including patient intake, treatment, and discharge processes.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, specifically in outpatient orthopedics.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices for treatment of orthopedic conditions.
• Experience working with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
