Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist in Home Care Setting

Expanding Balance Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team full-time in Carson City, Nevada. Work Environment

This role is purely onsite, with physical therapy being delivered directly in patients’ homes across Carson City and its surrounding areas. Practicing in a home care environment allows you to evaluate and treat patients in their everyday settings, fostering a more personalized and relatable rehabilitation experience. You will have the autonomy to design treatment plans that best suit each individual’s living conditions and lifestyle needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess each patient’s overall mobility, strength, and specific rehabilitation requirements through thorough evaluations and physical assessments.
• Develop customized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and address individual patient goals.
• Implement diverse therapy techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training specific to patients’ daily activities and environments.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and injury prevention strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery process.
• Utilize Raintree, our electronic medical record system, to document patient progress, modify treatments, and ensure compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
• Monitor and track patient outcomes, adjusting therapy methods as necessary to enhance recovery and achieve therapeutic goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse population of patients, ranging from post-surgical individuals to seniors seeking to improve their mobility and independence. Each therapy session will require adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of patients in a home environment, building trust, and fostering communication to enhance patient compliance and outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active or eligible Physical Therapist license in the state of Nevada.
• Strong foundational knowledge of physical therapy principles, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, patients, and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of clinical experience in outpatient settings, particularly in home care environments.
• Demonstrated ability to foster patient relationships and adapt to various treatment settings.
• Experience with Raintree or similar electronic record systems is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
