This role involves providing onsite physical therapy services, primarily in patients' homes. The work environment is dynamic and requires adaptability to different settings and patient circumstances. Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' physical conditions and functional capabilities, allowing for accurate treatment planning.
Formulate individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, considering each patient's specific recovery goals, lifestyle, and preferences.
Implement hands-on therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, and employ various modalities like electrical stimulation and heat therapy to alleviate pain and promote healing.
Guide patients in therapeutic exercises and activities that encourage recovery and improve physical function, providing clear demonstrations and corrective feedback.
Educate patients and their families on effective body mechanics, injury prevention techniques, and strategies to enhance everyday functioning.
Monitor patient progress throughout the rehabilitation journey, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver holistic and informed care, sharing critical patient insights and updates.
Maintain detailed records of patient assessments, treatments provided, and progress achieved in line with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
Your caseload will include a diverse array of patients with various conditions such as post-surgical recovery, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain syndromes. Your work will make a significant difference in the lives of individuals who may have limited mobility or require specialized care, thereby enhancing their functional independence and overall quality of life.
A bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
A valid physical therapy license to practice in the state of Nevada.
Board certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Minimum of one year of clinical experience in physical therapy, with a strong foundation in outpatient care and home health environments.
Familiarity with the latest therapeutic techniques and modalities, focusing on hands-on treatment approaches.
Demonstrated analytical skills, enabling targeted interventions based on patient assessments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a broad range of patients and their families.
Preference will be given to candidates with further experience in providing home care physical therapy and those who are comfortable navigating the logistical challenges associated with delivering services directly in patients' residences. Additional qualifications in specialty areas such as geriatrics or sports therapy will be considered an advantage.
