Practice Setting: Inpatient - Level II Trauma Center
EMR System: Epic

Position Overview

A high-performing facility in California is seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with strong experience in cardiovascular surgery for an ongoing locum assignment. This role requires proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and prior experience in the OR. The provider will work full-time weekdays with the potential for weekend call.

Schedule & Responsibilities

• Full-time coverage: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

• No overtime expected (preapproval required if needed)

• Weekend call: May include 12- or 24-hour shifts

• Inpatient management, OR assistance, and pre/post-operative care

• Collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons and hospital teams

Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)

• Board Certified and Licensed in CA (active)

• Active CA DEA required

• ACLS and BLS certifications required

• Strong experience in cardiovascular surgery

• Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) required

• OR experience and flexibility highly preferred

• Prior use of Epic EMR is a plus
