Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical and mental health by conducting comprehensive physical examinations and obtaining detailed medical histories.
• Obtain and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, to determine patient needs and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens according to established protocols, ensuring the safety and efficacy of all therapies.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to formulate and implement comprehensive treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients and families on managing health conditions, including medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and nutritional support.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records to facilitate continuity of care.
• Participate in surgical procedures as needed, performing tasks under the guidance of supervising physicians and demonstrating a solid understanding of surgical protocols.
• Provide consultations for patients based on the specialized knowledge and skills acquired during training and practice.
• Adapt to the fast-paced nature of the Surgical Center, managing patients in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
• Be flexible and available to extend working hours or provide coverage as required by departmental needs.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient demographic, addressing a wide range of health concerns. Patients typically range from pre-operative to post-operative individuals requiring ongoing follow-up and monitoring. Qualifications

• Completion of a Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Physician Assistant (PA) certification and licensure to practice in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of one year of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a surgical or acute care setting.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and proficiency in patient management, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team while navigating complex patient scenarios.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Compensation and Benefits
