Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our advanced surgical center in Corpus Christi, where you will work closely with a highly skilled team of healthcare professionals. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources, ensuring that you can focus on providing the best possible care. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday, comprising eight-hour shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic patient care under the supervision of experienced orthopedic surgeons, including diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventive services.
• Conduct patient examinations, interpret radiology reports and lab findings, and formulate treatment plans to optimize patient health.
• Accurately document patient histories, write prescriptions, order necessary therapies, and assist during surgical procedures as required.
• Manage patient care throughout the entire orthopedic experience, including inpatient services, pre-operative assessments, procedural care, and post-operative follow-ups in both hospital and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• State License to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and national certification required.
• DEA Certificate must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities are essential for addressing patient needs.
• Ability to handle stress and support a team dynamic involving professionals and caretakers.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in orthopedic specialty care.
• Experience with wound care management and handling urgent referrals from the community.
• Hands-on experience assisting in surgical operations and familiarity with orthopedic procedures.
• Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multi-disciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
