Key Responsibilities

• Engage in a 3-week rotation schedule that includes outpatient care, inpatient duties, and post-procedure follow-up, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive approach to patient management.
• Manage a patient load of 8-17 inpatients daily, performing essential tasks such as rounding, conducting new consults, and following up on consults to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Conduct both independent and shared patient visits, with an expected daily patient volume of approximately 8-10 in independent clinics and 8-12 in shared settings, honing your practice of outpatient procedures.
• Utilize virtual consultations to accommodate 100% of patient visits under the current practice model, emphasizing adaptability and technological integration in patient interactions.
• Participate actively in the progression of your professional development through continuous education opportunities, including lectures, workshops, and access to educational resources.
• Ensure compliance with all Joint Commission standards, particularly regarding cultural competency, patient rights, safety practices, and ethical treatment, playing a critical role in maintaining high-quality care.
• Provide medical services within your competence and according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including obtaining full history and pertinent physical examinations, leading to informed decision-making in treatment plans.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic studies and collaborate closely with supervising physicians for cases requiring additional expertise.
• Facilitate patient admissions and discharges from the hospital, managing necessary paperwork and ensuring seamless transitions of care.
• Engage with investigational studies approved by the Investigational Review Board (IRB) when required, broadening both patient care and clinical research avenues.
• Assist in surgery as needed, fulfilling the role of first or second assistant under supervision, contributing to procedural outcomes effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clinician will primarily engage with a diverse patient population, addressing a myriad of acute and chronic health conditions through specialized interventional approaches. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Current certification and licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care, collaborative practice, and continuous learning and improvement.
• Excellent clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in interventional radiology or similar settings is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with relevant surgical and procedural practices. Proficiency with electronic medical record systems will be beneficial to effectively manage and document patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to USD 180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
