Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients experiencing chronic pain. This includes detailed medical history reviews, comprehensive physical examinations, and pain level assessments using validated tools.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with our team of experienced physicians and specialists to create personalized pain management plans, utilizing a variety of modalities such as medication, physical therapy, and interventional techniques including nerve blocks and epidural injections.
• Patient Education: Provide clear and compassionate education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options. Facilitate discussions to empower patients to actively participate in their care and pain management processes.
• Procedural Assistance: Support and assist in the execution of pain management procedures, ensuring high standards of patient safety and comfort. You will also monitor patients during and after these procedures.
• Follow-Up Care: Continuously evaluate and monitor patient progress, making adjustments to management plans as necessary. Provide ongoing counseling and support to enhance patient well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on patients dealing with chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain, among others. You will interact closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying stages of pain management, requiring a patient-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, understanding, and tailored care solutions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in Kansas.
• Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate complex information to patients and their families.
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, compassionate care that improves patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Prior clinical experience in pain management or a closely related specialty is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
