Wright Medical Treatment Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our surgical team in Portland, Oregon. Work Environment

As part of a vibrant surgical team, you will work onsite in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that fosters collaboration and professional growth. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team comprising five Medical Doctors (MDs) and five Nurse Practitioners (NPs), all dedicated to providing exemplary healthcare services. Your workweek consists of 40 hours, with regular hours from Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and review medical histories to assess health conditions accurately.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging to assist in forming a comprehensive diagnosis.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for both chronic and acute health issues, working in conjunction with fellow healthcare professionals.
• Prescribe medications, ensuring that patients understand their treatment regimens and necessary follow-up care.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and effectively manage appointment scheduling to enhance clinic operations.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote optimal health.
• Engage in continuous learning and research to enhance clinical expertise and improve patient care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our surgical center serves a diverse patient population with varied health needs, including pre-operative assessments and post-operative care. You will work with individuals facing acute issues as well as those requiring long-term management of chronic conditions. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide empathetic care will be vital in ensuring that all patients feel valued and understood.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies, with a Master's degree preferred.
• Current valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Oregon, and PA-C certification required.
• A current DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Proven experience working as a Physician Assistant in clinical, urgent care, or surgical settings.
• Demonstrated understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, family health, or urgent care settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive salary range of $120,000 to $140,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
