This Physician Assistant position is housed within our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, located in Yonkers, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and accurately diagnose disorders and diseases related to the skin.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as biopsies and imaging to inform treatment decisions.
• Develop and propose individualized treatment plans for skin conditions, which may include prescribing medications and recommending tailored skincare regimens.
• Perform a variety of treatments and procedures, including but not limited to excisions, laser surgeries, cryotherapy, and skin cancer surgeries.
• Administer injectable treatments, such as neurotoxins and dermal fillers, ensuring patient comfort and optimal results.
• Educate patients about treatment options, procedures, and preventative measures in a way that is easily understood and encourages adherence.
• Facilitate a positive clinic experience by demonstrating patience, compassion, and effective communication skills while promoting teamwork and maintaining an efficient clinic workflow.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily involve working with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from individuals seeking treatment for skin diseases to those interested in cosmetic enhancements. Patients will come to Skin & Wound Care Dermatology for both urgent care and routine dermatology services, requiring a keen understanding of the nuances in managing various skin conditions and aesthetic desires. The ability to connect with patients, understand their concerns, and provide compassionate care is vital for success in this position.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years’ experience in General and Cosmetic Dermatology is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of dermatological disorders and proficiency in excisional/surgical procedures, including shave biopsies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to manage patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Active participation in practice-wide training and staff meetings is essential for continued professional development.
• Ability to work autonomously while fostering a collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in both clinical and cosmetic dermatology, with proficiency in the latest cosmetic injectable techniques.
• Experience in using electronic health records (EHR) and other practice management software to maintain accurate patient records.
• Active Physician Assistant license preferred, with certifications relevant to dermatology.

Compensation and Benefits

In recognition of your valuable contribution to our team, we offer a competitive salary package ranging from USD 95,000 to 125,000 per year.
