Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physician Assistant to augment our Family Health Clinic located in Richmond, Virginia. This position is critical for enhancing the quality of patient care within our community, allowing you to leverage your expertise to diagnose, treat, and advocate for the comprehensive health needs of our diverse patient population.

Work Environment

You will work onsite at our well-established hospital facility in Richmond, which is known for its supportive environment and focus on family medicine. Operating as a full-time Physician Assistant, you will adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule, with shifts beginning at 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours each week. This setting allows for both a structured routine and the flexibility necessary to meet the varied needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients and meticulously review their medical records to ensure accurate assessments.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies, facilitating informed decision-making in patient care.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions typical in family medicine, including acute illnesses and chronic disease management.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with chronic and infectious diseases, in coordination with other healthcare team members.
• Prescribe medications as needed, carefully monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment protocols accordingly.
• Maintain organized and confidential patient records while managing their schedules to optimize clinic workflow.
• Educate patients and their families about various diseases, treatment options, and preventive health measures to foster greater health literacy.
• Oversee the overall health and well-being of your patient population, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Champion healthy lifestyle practices among patients, reinforcing the importance of preventative healthcare through education and community outreach initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in family medicine and primary care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will significantly impact a broad range of patients, from young children to elderly adults, each presenting unique health challenges. The clinic serves a diverse population in Richmond, requiring a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs, cultural backgrounds, and health literacy levels.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies are mandatory for this position.
• A valid Virginia State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and a DEA number are required.
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices pertaining to patient care.
• Outstanding communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• A strong commitment to ethical, patient-centered care practices.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience working as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or similar environment is highly preferred.
• Specialization or expertise in family medicine, with hands-on clinical experience in primary care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other health IT tools.
• Bilingual skills can enhance communication but are not necessary for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to USD 180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
